St. John Church
Built in 1891 by German and Swiss immigrants, St. John Church was moved to Sam Houston Park in Houston, Texas in 1968. This painting was inspired by my first visit to the park grounds where I learned a bit about Houston's history while walking amongst the park's mature trees, ornate fountain and historic structures. I was drawn to this building in particular because of how the light and shadows danced along the exterior planks of this charming little chapel.

Care Instructions
All of my original works are painted on gallery canvas and finished with a coat of glossy UV varnish (because art needs sunscreen too), but please use caution when deciding where to hang art. Direct sunlight can damage and fade artwork and print materials.
