Surrounded by the bustling activity of nearby businesses and the subtle sounds of the water and local wildlife, this is a space of both relaxation and rejuvination. My favorite part of this painting is the way the bright afternoon light reflects off of the glass throughout the top and left sides of the scene and then draws the viewer's attention onto the quieter path of the sidewalk below.

All of my original works are painted on gallery canvas and finished with a coat of glossy UV varnish (because art needs sunscreen too), but please use caution when deciding where to hang art. Direct sunlight can damage and fade artwork and print materials.
